My work included all the research, sourcing, and co-ordination for the dig itself. This included anything to do with archaeology and the artefacts that were found.
Early in prep I was lucky to meet Dave Roper who had made exquisite replicas of the finest of the treasures over many years. Paul Mortimer also owned beautiful replicas too, so we were blessed with being able to use these for filming.
There were many more makes to co-ordinate including the corroded treasure items and the ship’s rivets. All these items can be seen for real, exhibited at the British Museum.
